I have always loved taking photos. For as long as I can remember.
Before digital photography, when you only had the option of taking 24 or 36 photos – no retakes – no checking if the frame was right - did everyone have their eyes open? Did the flash go off? The excitement of picking up the photos from Boots or suchlike, after they had been with them for a week (if I was truly desperate, and flush, pay for a 24 hour turnaround!) I was lucky if all 36 photos came out well….inevitably Mum had her eyes closed or Dad wasn’t smiling, one was over exposed, one just completely black…..
….but it was exciting! It was exciting to see what the result was and it was exciting to share the photos that I had taken.
It has always given me a sense of joy of sharing those captured moments with friends and family. To see their reaction to the photos that I have taken has always exhilarated me. My closest friend Holly told me recently that “I’ve captured her life in photos” without her realising and she was grateful for it. I’d never really thought about it like that, but on reflection I guess I have and I love that thought.
Luckily now, there is literally no limit on the number of photos I can take. I’ve often come away from events taking in excess of 2000 photos… I capture every detail that I can as it’s often the moments that no one else sees that are the loveliest.
I have taken photographs professionally for 6 years now and as you will see from viewing my Gallery, my style is to capture people naturally, not staged.
Why would you choose me over all of the other photographers out there? I will make you feel at ease. You will get the photographs that you want and you won’t even notice that I am taking them.
I would love to meet with you and to talk through your wedding, event or family occasion. I want to create memories for you of your day and selfishly I want to relish in your reaction to the photos that I take.
Thank you for visiting my website, I look forward to meeting you soon, Claire
